Gregg Whittaker Ph.D.

Gregg Whittaker is the founder and Managing Member of Archos Capital Partners, a financial consulting practice that empowers entrepreneurs and tackles some of the most complex risk management issues for global companies today. Mr. Whittaker is also a former Professor of Finance and Economics at William Jewell College and Managing Director and Global Head of Credit Derivatives for Chase Securities.

During his tenure at Chase, Mr. Whittaker and his team pioneered innovations in “synthetic asset securitization”, “structured notes” and “off-balance sheet funding,” launching the largest asset-backed funding vehicles in the world. Mr. Whittaker’s group was rated by clients and peers as the top Credit Derivatives Group in the world during his final two years on Wall Street with annual revenue in excess of $250 million.

Mr. Whittaker is a native of Colorado. He played varsity baseball at Colorado State University and received a B.S. in economics. He then earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Mr. Whittaker was formerly on the boards of a number of for-profit and non-profit organizations and is a left-handed batting practice pitcher for the Jewell baseball team.
